Stewardship Thought For The Week

The parable in today’s Gospel clearly warns that we, like the fig tree, will be judged by our fruit.  While God mercifully provides us with the time and opportunity, let us give witness to our faith with deeds of kindness and generosity!

Catholic Charity Appeal

This is the second weekend for the Catholic Charity Appeal in-pew solicitation.  Christian stewards recognize Christ as the giver of all our many gifts.  We are grateful for these many gifts and are eager to give back and return some of these gifts in appreciation to show our love for Christ and for one another.  All of us share as Christ’s disciples in the mission of the Diocese of Providence.  Only together can we accomplish God’s work.  We as a parish family, have an opportunity to make our pledge in support of those less fortunate.  Please make a pledge today.  Thank you.

From The Pastor...

Catholic Charity Fund Appeal

First, let me apologize for a mistake that I made last weekend.  When quoting statistics regarding our parish donations, I said that we are the third lowest per capita in giving.  However, the average gift amount for St. Ann Parish stated was erroneous: not $6.75, but $67.50.  The Diocesan average gift is $166.70.  I apologize for misreading of the amount, but I think most of you understand the eyesight plays tricks on you as you get older.  We are already at $2,220.00 with just 4 gifts.  Only $29,000.00 more to go.
